Stacey Sargent

Teaching since 2012 / Practicing since 2011
Completed 16-month apprenticeship training with Jonas Zev Amberger in 2012
Preferred Teaching Styles: influenced by tradition of Ashtanga

StaceyAfter years of dabbling in yoga on and off, Stacey came to her mat with consistent dedication in January of 2011 and hasn’t looked back.  Yoga is an integral part of her daily life and she is grateful to be able to share her love of yoga through teaching.  She loves everything about yoga – moving, breathing, being present, cultivating awareness and acceptance, finding stillness, and most especially connecting with the Divine presence that resides deep within all of us.  Yoga is much more than a physical practice for Stacey and it is her desire as a teacher to hold space for students to create an intimate relationship with themselves through the practice of yoga.  She believes that yoga is a practice of becoming present in the body and developing awareness through the breath, allowing us to still the mind, turn inward, and connect to a deeper sense of ourselves.  Through yoga we can find “the still point at the heart of motion.”  Yoga reminds us what is real.

Stacey completed a 16-month training program with Jonas Zev Amberger at Zev Yoga in December of 2012.  While she doesn’t adhere to any one particular style of yoga, her practice and her teaching are influenced by the tradition of Ashtanga.  She also worked with Lauri Sowers, who supported her in a yoga teacher mentoring relationship.  Lauri has been a wonderful source of knowledge and encouragement for her and she is beyond thankful for her support.

Stacey also offers individual and group private yoga sessions, one-on-one yoga and energy healing sessions, and she is the founder of Fierce Self Love, offering workshops and individual coaching helping women to love themselves more deeply. When she isn’t practicing or teaching, Stacey enjoys being a Mom to her 12 year-old daughter – who she considers her true yoga teacher! She also enjoys digging deep into her spiritual life by reading, meditating and cultivating a daily relationship with God-Source-Spirit … Divine Love itself.
